What we mean to stay in the moment is that most of the time when we are overthinking we move to situations that are in the future. Overthinking is compromised of scenarios that we create ourselves from a future created in our own minds. Therefore, to stop overthinking make sure that you are always in the here and now and don’t let your thought drift too far into the future.

3.      Find A Distraction

Lastly one of the best ways that you can stop overthinking is simply by finding what you can do. The reason why you are overthinking is that your mind is idle, which means you are allowing your thoughts to wander. To avoid an idle mind, simply keep it busy.
