Samsung Hints At a Foldable Smartphone

I love Samsung phones! Mainly because they are very easy to use. Not only that, Samsung phones have a great design, expandable storage and app customisation. Furthermore, they have a great camera, are quite fast, have an impressive display and easy tablet integration. Oh, did I mention how cheap they are?

So, the following announcement really got me excited.

Finally, that Samsung fordable smartphone that we’ve been hearing about for years is ready to be released. We have known about this phone for some time now and it seemed never to materialize. Because of that, many Samsung users and lovers began to doubt the brand. However, doubt no more. The foldable phone is here, finally.

In preparation of the release, Samsung Mobile has changed its logo on Facebook in reference to something that folds.

Samsung’s CEO, DJ Koh, has hinted on this in the last couple of months. In fact, he has recently been using stronger wording to describe the upcoming device. Appropriately, he has been hinting that it’s now “time to deliver”. Also, he has hinted that the device might be unveiled early 2019. Actually, Samsung has said that production has already begun.

The logo change on Facebook has strongly suggested that this will be the case, indeed.

Recently, there was a report which claimed that Samsung Mobile is working on a foldable smartphone. However, the report said the company hadn’t made any key design decisions. Obviously, if that is true, then it means Samsung will not be showing an actual design anytime soon. Rather, users will only get to see parts of the phone’s user interface and concept imagery this November.

We impatiently wait for Samsung mobile’s first foldable phone. In fact, I think playing online casino games on a foldable smartphone would really be a great gaming experience.

There are reports that a startup called Royole recently announced the “world’s first” foldable smartphone. Also, competitors like Huawei are rumoured to be also working of a foldable smartphone.
