What’s your Phobia?

According to the Health line, ‘’A phobia is an excessive and irrational fear reaction. If you have a phobia, you may experience a deep sense of dread or panic when you encounter the source of your fear.’’

It is interesting as to how we were made, we all are different human beings and they are also different animals. But we do have a few things in common and one of them is that we all have a phobia of something. Never will you ever find anyone or anything that is not afraid of something.

Acrophobia; bungee jumping is definitely not a hobby that people who are acrophobic will pick. Acrophobia is the fear of heights. But then it is quite normal to be scared when you look down from a height. But how can you tell that it is a phobia?

There are symptoms that will tell you that you have a disorder. These symptoms include feeling nauseous, shortness of breath, and sweating, irregular heartbeat among other symptoms.

Venustrapobia; we all have come across some weird phobias. But not as weird as this. This phobia is a fear of beautiful women. It is recorded to have originated with the Roman goddess Venus who was the goddess of love, beauty, and fertility.

You might be wondering what causes the phobia. Quite a number of things do, it could be a bad encounter with beautiful women, a disaster or even a social belief. The symptoms of this phobia are as follows; nausea, dry mouth,  inability to articulate words or sentences, dry mouth and shaking.

Somniphobia; we are often told that sleeping is the best thing you could ever do. It is essential and we all need it, but people who suffer from Somniphobia do not think so. Somniphobia is an uncommon sleeping disorder, the affected person is afraid of going to sleep.

This can be because of a couple of reasons, bad movies, bad dreams, it is all the game of the mind.
