So by simply rubbing your eyes with hands that have been in contact with the virus or if someone sneeze or cough near you will be at risk of getting the virus. This applies even when you are wearing a mask that does not cover your eyes.

The coronavirus can also be infecting your eyes, the respiratory system and your heart. According to the research done by published by JAMA journal, the pink eye or conjunctivitis is spreading among coronavirus patients.

Moreover, the research showed it affected more than 31% of the affected patients. However, more researches are still being done to find out if the virus has long-lasting effects on eye health or eyesight.
