Decoding teen slang/ Lingo

Ghost-this is rather one of the interesting words we must say. When they say ghost what they mean is that they are hiding or ignoring you on purpose. “I Am Ghosting,” this is usually done on social media platforms.

Thirsty-they are definitely not talking about liquids. But instead, this means desperation of something or anything for that matter.

Woke- usually used in hashtags, which say stay woke. Which translates to stay awake or aware of issues. Having the current gossip or lines that are happening.

GOAT- this is an acronym for greatest of all time.

FOMO- no one wants to miss out on anything. It is rather scary, and the meaning of this word is, fear of missing out!

Turnt up– now this word describes the highest level of drunkenness, not just being drunk but also intoxication.

Boujee- this word has been often used in songs. And translates to rich and famous.

Low key- this is the slang synonym for the word “sort of,” so stay woke!
