Xbox One X Design

With a slim black design featuring a matte finish on the body, the Xbox One X measures 6.2 inches long. As far as depth goes, it measures 2 inches only.

The controller also gets a slight makeover with redesigned thumbsticks and triggers. An LED light sits at the top left corner to indicate when you turn the console on or off.

Processor Upgrade

The Xbox One X features an upgraded processor clocked at 1.6GHz compared to the original model at 1.75GHz. This should offer better performance while playing your favourite titles.

Another improvement made to the console was the ability to stream more smoothly via 4K content. You can now play Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, NBC Now, and HBO Go, among others, in Ultra HD quality. Other improvements include faster data transfer rates than before, allowing fast game downloads over Wi-Fi, as well as USB 3.0 with backward compatibility with previous models.

HDR Support

Alongside this year’s November 13th update, the Xbox One X will be able to output HDR10 content. What does that mean exactly? Well, this version of the console offers support for High Dynamic Range (HDR), which results in dynamic range increases up to 11 stops. Basically, images have added contrast and brighter colours that enhance your viewing experience.

Conclusion

To sum things up, the Xbox One X is a great upgrade to the current model. If you own one already, you might want to consider upgrading to an Xbox One S if you haven’t done so yet. Another reason why you may want to upgrade is that it’s currently cheaper than its predecessor.
