Wear Warm Clothing Items

One of the most obvious ways to stay warm during winter time is to wear some warm clothes. Whether you are staying indoors or are stepping out, make sure that you make use of warm clothes. Consider wearing jerseys, sweatshirts, hoodies, bomber jackets or coats. Make sure that you do this first thing in the morning, soon after you take a bath. This locks in the heat and ensures that your body retains heat.

Socks and Shoes Are Essential

For most people, socks are only worn in bed. What many fails to realise is the fact that you actually need them more during the day in winter. As previously suggested, make sure that you wear your socks soon after your bath. If you are leaving the house, wear your shoes too. Socks and shoes help to retain the heat and keep your feet warm. Many people will agree that the temperature on your feet pretty much controls overall body temperature. Because of that, you need to make sure your feet are always warm.

Learn the Art of Layering

We would like to think of layering as an art. This is because when done right, it’s actually quite fashionable. You simply have to know the pieces to put together. However, to keep it simple during the day, you can simply wear a vest inside (tank top for women), a t-shirt on top of that and finally, your favourite hoodie. Another way to do it is to always start with a polo neck jersey underneath.
