There are several mistakes that people make when they do a walking exercise. These mistakes may prevent them to reach their desired goals. Walking is considered to be one of the safest and most effective ways of improving your health. Walking is very easy and so many people think that mistakes cannot be made while walking which is not true at all. Here are some of the mistakes that you should avoid.

Putting on Wrong Shoes

Wearing the right shoes when you go for a walk is very important. There are types of shoes that you should not wear when you go for a walking exercise, for example basketball shoes or wearing shoes that do not fit.  When you want to go for a walk, you should wear shoes that are light and flexible. The reason why your shoes should be flexible is so that you can be able to bend them. When you are able to bend your shoes, you will notice that you will also be comfortable.

Overstepping

People tend to overstep while trying to walk faster. Taking wide steps may lead to injury and it will lead to also lead to clumsiness. You will have less balance and you may also not be able to balance well when you overstep. Your shins will also start to hurt because you will be applying a lot of pressure.

Walking When You Have An Injury

If you get injured, It is best not to continue strolling, you will make the injury worse. do not walk even if you feel that the injury is mild. Also, you should not continue strolling if you have sores, make sure you start a walk that you can complete. Walking a distance that you can complete helps reduce the risk of injury.

Avoid Picking The Same Route Everyday

If you pick the same route everyday, you may get bored over time. You should pick different routes so that you avoid seeing the same things each time you walk.
