How to Play Let it Ride: Complete Guide

Let it Ride is based on five-card stud Poker. You do not play against another player, you only play against the house when you play let it ride.

How to play

Firstly, each player places three equal bets.  The dealer deals three cards to each player, face down.

Also, the dealer will have two cards that will be face down.

Players will then make a decision after the look at their cards.  They will decide whether to ask for their bets back or to let it ride.

Players should not show their hands to other players. The dealer will show one of his two cards.

He does that after every player has decided on what to do with the cards that they were dealt with.

After the dealer shows his card, the players can now decide to take back their second bet or to let it ride. The first bet remains the same, only the first bet can change.

At this point, after all the players have decided on what they will do with the second bet, the dealer will show his second card.

Every players’ 5 card Poker hand will now be complete due to the dealer’s second card that he will turn face up.

If any player has a pair of 10s or better, they will win. The player that wins will get paid on all the wagers they have let it ride.

If the winner has let all the bets ride, they will get paid three times.  The winner will get paid two times if he or she had withdrawn the first bet.  however,  if the winner had withdrawn all bets, they will get paid once.

When Should a Player Decide to Let it Ride

A player should let it ride when they discover that they have a pair of 10s or better. Let it ride if you have any three cards to a royal flush and if you have three cards to a straight flush cards that are connected.
