Interesting ways on how to play poker and win

Poker has always been one of the most played card games around the globe. Two players can only play poker facing each other at a table where they bet against each other using their hands. To win, both the players must have a better hand than the opponent. If only one player wins, he/she gets the pot, otherwise, the winner takes nothing. how to play poker

Each player bets an amount on his cards

It can be anything from $0.01 to $100. The player who doesn’t want to lose all that money usually plays about $2 per round while those who are more confident will go for higher amounts. There is no fixed rule that states such a limit. When the person playing starts betting with his cards, the dealer puts down his own hands. The first three cards dealt with him are not considered part of the game but it is the last three that count. For example, if four people were sitting at the same table then the dealer would put his four cards down first before dealing out the fifth card to any of the players.

after dealing with the hands, the deal rotates clockwise

The player to the left begins the next hand. The button or the cut-off man is the player to the right. If the player with the chips isn’t able to call because he hasn’t enough chips to lay down, he simply stays silent by doing nothing and does not make any kind of gesture during that particular round. To prevent cheating, the cards are usually marked with numbers 0 through 9 so that the dealer can easily identify them. After the deal has been completed, the dealer shuffles the cards by cutting them into several piles. Then he picks up one stack and deals it face down to the end player.

The player decides which cards he wants

Now the player sits back and decides whether to raise (risking everything), stay or fold (giving up). He may also look for help from others in deciding what to do. This decision has to be made within 5 seconds since after 10 seconds the dealer will start showing the cards to the players. The cards shown are chosen at random among those remaining in the deck. Even when this happens, the dealer doesn’t announce the cards. The player simply raises or folds in secret and the dealer looks away.

In conclusion, we can say that poker is an amazing game where anyone can win even if you have never played this kind of game before. All you need is practice and some luck.
