Fear of the unknown has stopped many people from achieving their dreams the reason being that they were too scared of what would happen. So much that instead of working towards where they wanted to go, they simply stood still and decided that they would rather not take that risk. All because they had a fear in their heads that they could not explain. The human brain is wired with a self-defense mechanism that then means that you will think of the negative more than the positive. And to add to that, our brain naturally fears change. Therefore, to conquer the fear of the unknown you need to be able to separate reality and your own negative thoughts.

Then you will need to find out the cause of that fear, as in what triggers it. Thereafter, you have to rationalize what you are really afraid of. Then, think of the best ways that you will be able to minimize the risk and ways that you will be able to deal with whatever situation you are afraid of.

·         Question The Fear

Most of the things that we are scared of are scenarios that we create in our heads. Therefore, you will need to question yourself and ask yourself what you are really scared of. Is it moving forward or is it just the thoughts that are in your head.

·         Do Not Be Afraid To Fail

Lastly, in order to deal with the fear of the unknown, you will need to realize and accept that it is okay to fail, as long as you get up again. Most people are scared to try because they are afraid to fail. But failing in fine as long as you don’t give up and as long as you are able to pick yourself again.
