Real tribes of Wakanda

People marveled at this movie. They hasn’t been such hype since the Titanic movie. The great thing about Black Panther is that with so much excitement that was in the air, it didn’t disappoint. Rather it spoke the truth and showed people what they did not know about other cultures. It is amusing how when watching this movie it only seems like a movie and nothing more. But when you take time to research on some of these things you will see that, the movie was speaking truth. Today we look into these cultures that were showcased in the movie.

The 11 Tribes in Black Panther

The tribe that caught a lot of people’s eye is the river tribe. The Mursi and Surma Lip Plates were rather unusual and odd. But as presented in the movie, they are some of the most stylish. The Mursi and Surma tribe is from Ethiopia, they are easily identified by the lip plates. The plates are an appearance of female maturity and a sign that she has reached child-bearing age.

Maasai tribe

The warriors who protected the king represent the Maasai tribe. Despite the colonization and westernization, they have managed to preserve their culture and distinctive dressing. This has been of interest to the tourists who visit Kenya.

Basotho

The Basotho people from South Africa are represented by the border tribe. The Lesotho people wear blankets hanging from their shoulders which are shown in the movie.

Casino

There is no way that we are going to talk about the diversity in Black Panther and avoid the diversity talk. The same way that Black Panther is diverse and tries to represent every tribe is the same way Reels of Joy Casinos try to cater to everyone. They do make effort in making sure that everyone is happy.
