In Greece, they have what they call Philotimo. This refers to what they call “love of honor’. As a non-Greek, you might find it hard to really understand the meaning of this practice. The Greeks totally understand what their culture entails. This simply means acts of kindness to one another, gratitude, dignity, self-sacrifice, hospitality and optimism. They embrace this lifestyle and they really support the culture of being there for each other.  It is also good to adopt other people’s culture when it comes to joy and happiness, try it and it might just work for you.
